Sarah Michelle Geller was born on April 14, 1977 in New York City. Her parents Rosellena and Arthur raised Sarah on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. When Sarah was four years old she was out with the her parents in a restaurant in Manhattan when an agent spotted her, he gave her parents his card and she later auditioned and won a part in the TV movie An Invasion of Privacy, that movie also starred Valerie Harper of TV’s Rhoda and Jeff Daniels.

In Sarah acted in commercials, one in particular. She appeared in a commercial for Burger King and in this commercial she supposedly attacked the McDonalds Corporation and claimed to only eat Burger King. In return McDonalds not only sued the Burger King Corporation but sued Sarah as well. Sarah went to court as a witness and a settlement was made. Sarah wasn’t involved in the settlement.

Her parents divorced in 1984 and Sarah lived with her mother and became estranged from her dad for reasons she has never publicly talked about. He dad died in October of 2001 and she got to say her peace before he died. Sarah continued to act as well as went to school. Sarah attended New York’s Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School and the Professional Children’s School; it was here she met her best friend at the time Melissa Joan Hart.
